Hanging over the escalators at Neiman Marcus Austin.
It goes without saying that the most important aspect of a suit is the fit. A great tailor can make a $300 suit look like a $3000 suit, and a bad one can make a $3000 suit look like it was made by a drunk two-year-old. Dallas, or the south in particular, doesn’t have a large supply of highly skilled tailors like the northeast or even the west coast, and trust me, it is a very difficult, expensive journey to find a good one. As luck would have it, after 5 years in Dallas without finding a go-to tailor, I finally found a guy who knows what he is doing two days before I move to Austin. He is from Dallas and is a third generation tailor. Most importantly, he took one of my suits that had been butchered by two different tailors here in Dallas and made it appear as if it were made to measure; and he did it for half the price the other “tailors” charged. So if your in need of a good tailor in the Dallas area go check out Highland Park Village Tailor and Alterations.
Not sure how I feel about the belt loops with suspenders. I suppose it is ok, but it looks cleaner without the loops.
